Meg SavlovFounding member Meg Savlov comes from a theatrical family and started training in music and theater arts at an early age. She has worked as actress, writer, and co-producer in various bilingual ensembles and flamenco groups in Santa Fe, San Francisco, and Seattle. Locally, Meg has worked with eSe Teatro, the Group Theater, ACT, Puget Sound Revels, Miracle Theater in Portland and elsewhere.

Monica Cortés Viharo, PhDMonica is an actor (SAG/AFTRA), teacher, scholar, dramaturge, and public speaking consultant, who earned her PhD in Drama at the University of Washington (UW). She holds a BA in Theater & Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, trained at American Conservatory Theater and California Shakespeare Theatre, and was a working actor in the San Francisco Bay Area for 20+ years. She made her Seattle debut in eSe's 2016 production of Mud/Barro and has been a company member ever since. In addition to being the performance coach for TEDx Youth Seattle, she is an Associate Dean at Seattle Central College and has taught at UW, the University of Puget Sound, Cascadia College, and New College of Florida, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Montse Garza
Montse is a Latina actor and lighting designer hailing from la frontera (the Texas-Mexican border). She is a recent MIT graduate with a Bachelor’s in both Computer Science and Theater Arts. Shortly after moving in 2023, she made her Seattle theater debut during Two Big Black Bags helping with lights, and has been part of eSe ever since. During her time at MIT, she was also a director and playwright, directing four shows and writing a full-length play that was stage read. As the newest member of eSe, she’s excited to grow as an artist with the group and bring new energy and ideas to build the Latine theater community in Seattle.

Julieta Vitullo, PhD
Julieta is a bilingual writer born and raised in Argentina. She joined eSe in 2017, and has since done dramaturgy, play writing and a directing. She holds an MA in English and a PhD in Spanish from Rutgers. She’s the protagonist and co-script writer of the award-winning documentary La forma exacta de las islas. Her novel La huella de tu nombre won the First Prize for a Novel Written in Spanish in the U.S. organized by UNAM San Antonio and Letras de la Frontera and will be out soon. Her literary work was twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in Into the Void, The Normal School, The Fabulist, Hawaii Pacific Review and The Massachusetts Review.

Iveliz Martel
Iveliz is an actor, teaching artist, and journalist from Chile. She holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Washington School of Drama and an MS in Science Journalism from Texas A&M University. Her local theatre credits include work with Seattle Children's Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Swim Pony, eSe Teatro, Global Works, Yun Theatre, Strawberry Jam at 12th Ave Arts, and Walk.Don’t.Run Art Marathon 2025. She also created and performed her original clown solo show, Tutti Frutti, co-developed with Bradley Wrenn and staged at 18th & Union in Seattle and CoHo Theatre in Portland. James LyleJames’s connection with eSe Teatro began in 2024 with the staged reading of Cornelia’s Visitors, and he was later honored to join the full production in the role of Mr Meyer. As an actor he has worked with many theaters around Seattle, including Artswest, Second Story Rep, Macha, The Shattered Glass Project, Latitude Theatre, Seattle Public, and Taproot. As a member of the Driftwood After Dark playwright group, his science fiction plays Ghost Girl, Blues for a Dead Planet, and Age of Sail have featured in Edmonds Driftwood Players’ new works series. James also holds a PhD in linguistics and worked for many years on language-related technologies for artificial intelligence and software globalization. He brings his passion for languages and science to his work in the arts.

Jessica Marvin-Romero
Jessica is an actress and poet originally from Mexico City. However, she was raised in rural Pennsylvania so please forgive her when she looks at the skyline Like That. Jessica has lived in Seattle for the past 2.5 years and has had the pleasure of working with such companies as Washington Ensemble Theatre, Shattered Glass, Annex Theatre, and Latitude. Getting to be part of eSe’s ensemble is fulfilling a long dream of working closely with a Latine theatre group like those she read about growing up. She received her B.A. in Theatre from Temple University in 2022.

Nathan Cardenas
Nathan Cardenas is a theatre artist in the Seattle area. He has performed with the likes of Heart Repertory Theatre, Centerstage, Annex and, of course, eSe Teatro. Nathan has been honored to be a part of eSe's last two productions: Two big black bags and Cornelia's Visitors. He is deeply passionate about diversity in theater, as well as new works, and is always trying to push himself forward as an artist.
